Key Likes from COUNTRY HOMES Issue

Hi there fellow readers, if you managed to not fall asleep whilst reading my previous posts, and still came back for more  - I thank you!

So just to summarize, last month's post were taken from

December 2012 issue

I have since then received another Issue, but this time from

January 2013 issue
I must say that there are certainly some interesting ideas on how I could possibly decorate my dream home, but only a couple of bits got my attention.

This arm chair, I must be honest and say that I would not normally pay much attention to it, however, the detail and different upholsters fabrics does make it stand out and is rather unique - in my view. Linwood (http://www.linwoodfabric.com/) is a must see website if you are looking to revamp your furniture(like the picture on the left) but not too sure how to go about it. The different innovative ideas, niche collection that they offer is a perfect excuse to get you wondering around the house to finally grab that item which deserves such style - and we all know you do too!

I am sure that for many, the Kitchen is an important area of the house - I will most definitely make it top priority on my list! Not only is it where everyone cooks, gathers around and to some it also means family time, but it is also a place of great battle with food where simple pleasures become amazing dishes. I want to create emphasis on the country style oven. The vibrant blue is creating an elegant space within the Kitchen, giving the whole area a not so dull appearance  but creating a statement with it's original roots. Cooking would never be boring for me, I like character as well as style, so this oven would most definitely go a treat *adds to list*.

Having only a couple of items keeps my blog simple and easy to read; at least it's what I think. Tell me otherwise, anything to keep YOU happy - which also means more viewers for me. If you like it, be kind and share it with your friends and family. Would love to have a discussion with other people who appreciate the beauty of a house's interior design.

Thanks!
Ana

Decoration and Furniture likes from the Ideal Home Issue

The following pictures have been taken from the Ideal Home December 2012 Issue.

Can be bought at
www.thedormyhouse.com
for £390 a unit.

I have a soft spot for decoration and furniture that have the purpose of organising your daily lifestyle, so it's no surprise that I really like the drawer unit to my left. Loving the Ivory colour with the wooden knobs. Just sets  an elegant atmosphere in your study room or even your hallway.

Can be found at the
www.dobbies.com
from £6.00 for a H19cm cage

Now this Birdcage is a beautiful addition to your table set. I really like the  rustic bronze colour on the cages and how well they will complement your dinner table. It could also be part of your living room, with different candle colours to add that peaceful scenario.

Given to me by my boyfriend
found in most flower shops.
The colour this flower provides it's a certain "je ne sais quoi". When I took the picture, I was blown away by the detail and the different colours that this flower had, which we take for granted on an every day life.

I decided to add it to this post, as I believe it would go really well, with the Drawer Unit and the Birdcage, as an extra feature which could really light the mood and make it that area extra appealing.

Let me know with your comments if you would do anything differently and what you honestly think.

Thanks!

Welcome!

Good Evening fellow readers.

I would like to welcome you to my stylish blog! Where I will be sharing ideas and suggestions about decoration and interior design.

From the layout of the Blog, you can already tell I love bold colors, however during this adventure I will be making comments and pointing out key likes on current trends within interior design, to an audience that I hope will engage with me.

Let's all embark in this journey, and hopefully share each others thoughts in decoration and design. This way we shall build a huge community from an interest that started with a single post.

Ah, a little bit about myself, I am currently working full time as a Language Support Representative and studying a Diploma in Interior Design Skills at home.

The passion that I found in Interior Design and the idea of fulfilling someones dream is somewhat captivating and endearing. Therefore the need to share what I already know and like amongst people that share the same interest.

Thanks for reading and let the journey begin...
